I'm not sure what the subject of Julien's essay was supposed to be, but it's pretty cute:
My Dad had a wonderful life full of wonderful things, but as his life continued he left the wonderful things & traded them for a journey worth having. My father was born in Wyoming, but he moved to Minnesota to go to school. When he finished school he went to college in Seattle, Washington where he met my mother. They moved to Oregon where they had married. After the wedding they moved to Reno, Nevada where I was born. They loved me more than anything even though the first thing I ever did was to pee on the nurse. In 2005 my sister was born on a stormy night. I didn't think about her much at all, but later on she became Miss talk-a-lot. My father had other adventures like hiking in Montana, but my time was spent while I went somewhere else: School. But right now school is & will be my adventure for quite some time & I'm really enjoying it.
A little fuzzy on the details, but has the right spirit. Love that little guy.

Nice colon use. World domination by punctuation.
