Couldn't get the horse to keep his head up; he was too busy eating. And actually, the picture that I took was this one:
Took a little while with the clone brush to get rid of the power lines, but I think it was worth it. You can still see them if you know where to look, but that's about te best I can do...
What a change! Removing the power lines opened the sky line beautifully. I noticed the horse was in the lower third of the picture and the sunset moves the eye to the upper third with the post connecting the two. I overheard a photographer at a farmers market describing to a customer how she took photos by placing objects within thirds on the screen rather than centered or by halves.
ReplyDeleteYeah, the "Rule of Thirds" - a lot of cameras actually have grid lines on them that help you frame your picture like that. You could probably turn yours on in the menu area, but I find they're a distraction...
