Man, I like Cory Doctorow's stuff. He mixes that "very near future" genre with just enough technology to be interesting, and brings in all sorts of other influences as well. In this case, you can really tell that he writes what he believes, which gives it an air of truth and immediacy. I'd recommend this to anyone I know with a passing familiarity with technology...

I also like that kind of fiction- the kind that is realistic, yet still gives a possible glimpse of the future...
