Glaze

Had a marathon Valentine's Day cookie frosting session today. Here's the aftermath of one of my batches of glaze. You can see the oven surface through the wax paper. I won't show you pictures of the cookies in case any of you are possible recipients; wouldn't want to spoil the surprise...

I like that picture! Tomorrow, Monday, is my Valentine cookie day. Ours will be covered in the melted, deep brown, semisweet confection.

I'm not sure what this is a picture of- is it frosting that spilled, or do you cook the frosting on the stovetop? Either way, it still looks pretty cool!

That's funny; my mom knew what it was because she makes the same cookies! It's excess glaze that has spilled when you spoon the glaze over the cookies to coat them - just thought the patterns were cool...

Okay, I see that now- the empty spaces are where the cookies were! It does make a neat pattern. :)
